EL accidente automovilístico se registrado este domingo 25 de diciembre, en la Circunvalación número uno, cerca de la bomba Lago pista, en el sector barrio Núcleo Las Palmeras, de Maracaibo del estado Zulia.
El hecho se originó luego que el conductor que se desplazaba de norte a sur por la autopista en una camioneta Chevrolet Cheyenne perdió el control de la unidad para luego colisionar con un árbol.

Habitantes de la zona manifiestan que el exceso de velocidad es el detonante en estos accidentes, que ya son habituales. En muchos casos son conductores que se quedan dormidos, y terminan perdiendo el control de sus vehículos que a veces, terminan volcados inclusive con víctimas fatales.
