El mundo del humor y del espectáculo zuliano amaneció de luto con el fallecimiento del humorista Javier Bertel, confirmó su hijo la madrugada de este jueves 10 de agosto en su cuenta Twitter.
Bertel se destacó por su habilidad para contar chistes, lo que lo llevó a tener varios programas radiales y televisivos, además de innumerables presentaciones públicas y privadas. Durante su carrera exaltó la jocosidad zuliana, las costumbres populares y su modo de narrar anécdotas cotidianas tuvo gran aceptación. Uno de los aspectos resaltantes en su trayectoria fue la particularidad de que no incluía malas palabras en su repertorio de chistes.
Locutor, animador y gaitero, Bertel también era licenciado en Biología y Química. Su programa «Javier echame uno» para radio y televisión lo acompañó con éxito durante su carrera humorística.
Bertel batallaba contra la enfermedad Guillain-Barré.
De origen colombiano, pero con décadas en el Zulia, fue recluido el 1 de julio en una clínica privada de la capital zuliana por la presunción de un ACV; sin embargo los médicos tratantes descartaron y fue diagnosticado con el síndrome de Guillain-Barré.
Posterior fue recluido en el Hospital General del Sur donde iniciaron en tratamiento, pero falleció este jueves 10 de agosto.
