A pesar de la voluntad gubernamental en solventar el tema de los desechos sólidos en esta zona del oeste marabino, el problema más allá de resolverse parece acentuarse aún más y es que mientras más recogen, es mayor la basura que botan.
Y es que basta con transitar por esta importante arteria vial de la ciudad que conecta a Maracaibo con San Francisco y que es la via de acceso más directa, para llegar a destinos como el Aeropuerto Internacional La Chinita, el mercado de Mayoristas Mercamara, Cicpc, el municipio La Concepción, entre otros por lo que para muchos marabinos esta vía de acceso es de suma importancia en su cotidianidad.
La circunvalación número 3 con un poco más de 7 kilometros, nace en el muro del sector el Marite y termina en el Centro Comercial Nasa Sur, es una gran arteria vial, con muchos problemas heredados que solventar pero uno de los más notorios y de mayor gravedad, es el de la basura por ser un tema medioambiental que podría con el tiempo, acarrear consigo problemas de salud a sus habitantes.
A lo largo del recorrido pueden verse en plena vía pública, montañas de basura que si bien es cierto las autoridades han tenido la voluntad y disposición de solventar, está claro que es su deber y obligación pero también el ciudadano debe jugar un papel importante en el prevención evitando a toda costa botar sus desechos sólidos en lugares no permitidos ni autorizados para ello.
Alguno de los entrevistados en el barrio Rey de Reyes cercano al antiguo centro 99 de la circunvalación 3, coincidieron que se ven obligados a sacar la basura de sus casas y colocarla en la mencionada vía pública, porque de lo contrario estarían abarrotadas de desechos en sus viviendas, ya que por sus calles según ellos, no pasa el aseo urbano.
“Nos vemos obligados a sacar la basura hasta la Circunvalación 3 porque por mi casa no pasa el aseo”.
Dijo un habitante del sector, que pidió no ser identificado.
Los habitantes de distintos sectores de Maracaibo han manifestado estar de acuerdo con las multas para quienes tengan por oficio lanzar basura a las calles, al igual que manifestaron que el cobro municipal por concepto de aseo debe hacerse, pero, siempre y cuando se refuercen los días de recolección.
Por su parte el alcalde de Maracaibo Rafael Ramírez, en su red social Instagram indicó lo siguiente:
Como bien saben estamos trabajando arduamente en el tema de la recolección de desechos sólidos, sobre todo con las ramas o árboles podados, cuyo crecimiento ha aumentado por las lluvias. Sin embargo, esta tarea que venimos desempeñando de día y de noche junto a @imamaracaibo e @imaumaracaibo_, necesita de un esfuerzo mayor para cumplirlo.
