Los criminales más feroces para la mayoría de la sociedad son unos monstruos, pero para una gran parte del sector femenino suelen ser hombres atractivos y recios. Se enamoran del poder que estos delincuentes obtienen al ingresar a un penal o simplemente al pertenecer a una banda delictiva. Para los especialistas en psicología, esta actitud que a muchas mujeres les parece “excitante” es denominada hibristofilia: una atracción sexual, muchas veces desmedida, por las personas que cometieron un crimen, sea una violación, un asesinato o un robo armado.
La historia cuenta que quien acuñó este término por primera vez fue el psicólogo y sexólogo John Money, en los años 50.
